Funky Dory (2004)

After the succsess of 'Some Girls' Rachel re-released her current album 'Funky Dory' with three brand new tracks and brand new artwork. On July 16, 2004 the album was released in the United Kingdom and reached number #13 on the albums chart. It did sale much better then the previous issue by selling 103,000 copies. The album Funky Dory was released in Canada on March 16, 2004. It has sold 350,000 copies worldwide, and later the album was finally certified Platinum in the UK.

Some Girls

Rachel's third solo single 'Some Girls' was released 12th July 2004 and written by Richard X and Hannah Robinson. Rachel third single was however due to be 'Breath in Breath Out - SWAT-Team version' but however there was a change of plan. The single was called 'Some Girls' and was produceed by Richard X and songwriter Hannah Robinson. The single was the official Sport Relief 2004 song. The single is featured in the Funky Dory (Re-issue) album and Rachel's second solo album (Come and Get It). The single was decribed as the song that saved Rachel's career. Some Girls charted at number #2 selling 130 000 copies altogether.

More More More

Rachel's fourth single was Rachel's first solo cover single 'More More More'. The original artist was by 'The Andrea True Connection'. Rachel's single 'More, More, More' was chosen for the Sky 1 Sports official football premiership theme tune. Rachel shot a video for the sky 1 premiership football and the song used for the premiership does feature on Rachel's Funky Dory Re-issue album. The single 'More More More' was re-worked into a disco single edit version and was shortend. More, More, More made number #03 in the UK charts and sold 25,600 in its first week and 68,000 altogether. Rachel's version also outpeaked all of the previous versions of the track including The Andrea True Connection and Bannanarama'
